ACOUSTIC EMISSION TESTING

Spectra Solutions provides Acoustic Emission Testing to inspect Storage Tanks, Spheres, etc. Acoustic Emission (AE) tank inspection services are undertaken while the tank remains in service

TIME OF FLIGHT DIFFRACTION (TOFD)

    Spectra Solutions provides TOFD to inspect the welds of process vessels and piping with thickness more than 8mm. TOFD is reliable and faster, and is an advancement to ultrasonic testing which can used in lieu of Radiograph

    Advantages :
    • The inspection can be performed above
   200° C.
    • The evacuation of areas because of
   radiation is not necessary.
    • Higher Probability of Detection 
    improves risk reduction and  
    calculation.
    • TOFD saves costs, if applied during 
    construction,

PHASED ARRAY ULTRASONIC TESTING

    Spectra Solutions provides Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing to inspect welds of process equipment and piping. Phased array (PA) is widely used in several sectors, from power generation to construction industries. It is an advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) method that uses an ultrasonic technique to determine component quality and detect failure such as flaws or cracks.

     Advantages :

     • Simplified inspection of components that have complex  geometry.
     • Inspection of many different materials 
     possible.
 • High temperature inspections 
    possible up to over 350°C.
     • Speedy inspection compared to
     conventional ultrasonic testing.

POSITIVE MATERIAL IDENTIFICATION

Spectra Solutions provides positive Material identification (PMI) services to identify or sort deferent types of materials to be used in construction projects. With Positive Material Identification the alloy composition of materials can be determined. PMI is particularly used for high-quality metals like stainless steel and high alloy metals. While engineers push the boundaries of material capacities to their limits in the design, assurance, that the proper material is used, becomes even more important.
